The Laredo Border Jumpers had no problem beating the Redstone Ridge Raptors, 11-2, at BackWet Stadium. Nelson Martínez led the way. He was 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for Laredo. Edmund Martin nailed down his 3rd save.

The Border Jumpers picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.

"We had a nice day," said Laredo skipper Dave Galindo.

The first-place Border Jumpers, at 80-57, now lead their division by 6 games.
