Fading Cheesesteaks Lose 6th Straight
The Reading Railbirds got a stellar effort from pitcher Carlos Caro, helping Reading score a win over the visiting Philadelphia Cheesesteaks, 2-1. Reading reliever Kenny Goldsmith got the win, raising his record to 1-1. Tony Villamán was tagged with the loss. The first-place Cheesesteaks have dropped 6 straight games.

Dave Rouse, who finished 3rd in the FR in extra base hits with 85 in 2062, aided the Reading cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the third. For the game, the first baseman went 1 for 4 with a double.
