Bearers Deal Ice Pirates 6-5 Loss
The St. Paul Bearers dealt the Glacier Bay Ice Pirates a 6-5 loss at Liquor Luge. Norberto Chávez was the star on offense. He was 2-2 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Melvin Flowers earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 2 innings. His record is now 2-0. The save went to Bob McKinney, his 18th this season.

St. Paul used a timely hit from Nick Clark to get the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Bearers ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said St. Paul manager Mitchell Slacko.
