Starting pitcher Paul Dawson pitched well enough to help the West Island Storm beat the Honolulu High Tide, 6-5. West Island reliever Luis León picked up the win, upping his record to 2-4. Scooby-Doo Magoo was saddled with the loss. The Storm raised their record to 53-84.

The Storm got a clutch hit from right fielder Fernando Martínez. In the bottom of the 15th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Storm.

In postgame comments to the West Island Citizen, Martínez said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
