Tight Tilt Goes to Ice Pirates, 3-2
|
Glacier Bay pitcher Wiley Prince had a large part in his team subduing the Mexico City Diablos, 3-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the left-hander. Prince yielded 2 runs over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 8-6. Jonathan Bower recorded his 38th save for Glacier Bay.
Tony Ramos, who is tied for 8th in the FR in runs scored with 82, helped out the Glacier Bay cause in the bottom of the second inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the left fielder drove in one run.
"We were in it," said Mexico City manager . "We just didn't score enough runs."
The Frontier Coastal-leading Ice Pirates are 89-49.
