Launch Upend Ravens, 5-2
|
Cape Canaveral and Richmond duked it out and the Launch came out victorious.
The Cape Canaveral Launch faced a tough opponent in Richmond pitcher David Baidakoff, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Battle Field by a final score of 5-2. Baidakoff went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 run. Picking up his 28th save was four-time All-Star Nick Sharpley.
David Harris came through with a big-time hit for Cape Canaveral. The first baseman smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 3-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"Solid game, solid win tonight," said a smiling Harris.
Cape Canaveral sits in third place in the Appalachian Coastal at 63-75.
