The Mexico City Diablos picked up a win at Vargas Field, knocking off the Crab Apple Cove Mashers, 2-0. Starting pitcher Mike Kern played a key role in the triumph. The win lifted the Mexico City record to 71-69.

Mexico City relied on the hitting of Luis Rodríguez to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Diablos on top, 2-0. For the game, Rodríguez had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
