Cheesesteaks Lose Again, 5-1, to Railbirds
|
Reading rode a good effort from starter Juan Gallardo to beat the Philadelphia Cheesesteaks at Schuylkill Landing Park. The final score was 5-1. The losses continue to mount for Philadelphia, which has now dropped 9 in a row.
Reading center fielder Keishi Koku contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two down, he hit a fastball into right field for a 2-run single. It was his 92nd hit of the season and put the Railbirds ahead, 2-0.
"The vibe's good," said Reading manager Slam Dunks. "We've got to keep it going."
