Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Iowa Crop Circles and Death Valley Burn.

Starting pitcher Fernando Farías pitched well enough to help the Iowa Crop Circles beat the Death Valley Burn, 6-4. The save was credited to Naofumi Hayagawa, his 3rd.

The Crop Circles got a big at-bat from left fielder Kyle Christopher. For the game, Christopher went 1 for 3 with a double and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 32nd double of the season gave Iowa a 4-2 lead.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Iowa manager Andy Ward.

Iowa goes to 86-55. The win puts them 2½ games up in their division.
