Brad Coleman had a good game, but he could not keep the Amarillo Chicken Haulers from falling, 6-5, to the Honolulu High Tide at Champagne of Beers Field. The Amarillo designated hitter went 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 in the loss. Honolulu reliever Jeremy Leach snagged the win, upping his record to 8-2. Leroy Welch shouldered the loss. Edgar Arroyo recorded the save for Honolulu, his 24th of the season.

Honolulu went in front, 6-5, on John Wilkins's 10th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Wilkins hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Amarillo pitcher Leroy Welch visibly perturbed.

"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Wilkins told the Honolulu Observer.

The win boosted Honolulu to 78-63.
