The timely hitting of Carlos Mendoza helped the Michigan Militia down the Honolulu High Tide, 7-4. Mendoza was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3 for the Militia. Picking up the save was Ietsuna Ohayashi, his 8th. With the win, the Militia have a record of 71-70.

It could have been a different outcome for Michigan, had it not been for Stephen Lowe, the former first round draft pick . Lowe contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Michigan up, 4-3.

"We take it day by day here," said Lowe, "and today was a good one for us."
