Tony Leslie made an impact in the 3-1 Newark win over Keg Creek. Leslie, who is tied for 7th in the AP in RBI with 91, went 3 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk. Rob Heath earned the save, his 31st in 37 tries. The Falcons now have a mark of 66-75.
Newark took a 3-1 lead on Leslie's 34th home run of the season. The solo home run, which he hit off Jaime Ruíz in the bottom of the sixth, propelled Newark to the win.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Leslie said.
