Diablos Handed 4-2 Loss by Crab Apple Cove
|
Vargas Field was the site of a competitive game between the Mexico City Diablos and Crab Apple Cove Mashers.
The Crab Apple Cove Mashers picked up a win at Vargas Field, knocking off the Mexico City Diablos, 4-2. On the mound for Crab Apple Cove was right-hander Kevin Underwood, who played a pivotal role in the win. Underwood picked up the win for Crab Apple Cove, going 6 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 9-12.
Early in the game, second baseman Chang-geun Kim had a 3-run home run for Crab Apple Cove. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Mashers on top, 3-0.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Kim.
At 61-82, the Mashers claim 4th place in the Frontier Southern.
