Philadelphia Edges Redstone, 1-0, Quintero Ks 9
|
Pitcher Tomás Quintero was sensational for the Philadelphia Cheesesteaks in his team's 1-0 triumph over the Redstone Ridge Raptors. Quintero picked up the win, and it was well-earned. The triumph puts Philadelphia at 85-57 for the season.
Quintero, who leaned on his fastball, allowed no runs on just 3 hits over 8 innings for the Cheesesteaks. For the most part, Redstone hitters were simply overmatched.
When asked about his performance after the game, Quintero said: "Like everyone else, I'm just doing my job."
