Ice Pirates Procure 4-0 Victory
|
Glacier Bay registered a win at The Ballpark at Habanos Stadium by beating the Havana Comrades, 4-0. Pitcher Ron Collins was one reason why the Ice Pirates triumphed. The Ice Pirates sport a record of 91-51.
Glacier Bay used the hitting of Mario Amézaga to pick up the win. The shortstop clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Ice Pirates on top, 3-0. For the game, Amézaga had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"When you have a good rhythm and good flow, it's nice to just go out there and pound the strike zone with confidence," said Collins.
