Falcons Lose, 6-4, as Coyotes Rally
|
Coyotes designated hitter Bryan Hunt left his mark on his team's 6-4 win over the Newark Falcons. Hunt, who finished 3rd in the AP in triples with 9 last year, went 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for Keg Creek in the contest. Edward Rascoe claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 1.2 innings. His record stands at 2-3. The Coyotes have a one-game lead in the Appalachian Northern.
Hunt had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a first pitch slider from Ted Bigham, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Coyotes a 6-3 lead. It was the 10th home run of the year for Hunt.
"I just tried to make good contact," said Hunt.
