Washington got a decent performance from pitcher Ernesto Alary, but it wasn't enough to beat the West Island Storm. West Island won the The Grand Lodge contest, 8-4. Alary threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball for the losing team. Earning his 32nd save of the year was Juan Marino. With the win, the Storm have a record of 87-54.

It could have been a different outcome for West Island , had it not been for Quinn Piot, the 31-year old catcher . Piot contributed a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the top of the ninth inning to put West Island up, 5-3.

"The hot tub feels extra good after a solid win," said Piot.
