Cheesesteaks Slip Past Crab Apple Cove, 2-1

The Philadelphia Cheesesteaks got a magnificent performance from pitcher Matt Barraclough, who muffled the Crab Apple Cove offense en route to a tight, 2-1 Cheesesteaks win at William Penn Park. The win was credited to Artie Morris in relief. His record improves to 5-0. Lee Ward took the loss. The Cheesesteaks now have a record of 74-69.
Chris Hall was the walk-off hero for Philadelphia. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Cheesesteaks designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Hall said.
