Iowa Bats Go Silent in 5-0 Loss
|
The Boston Revolution downed the Iowa Crop Circles, 5-0, at Jackie Robinson Place. Stellar pitching by Martin Wilson had a lot to do with it. The right-hander handcuffed his opponent all game. The Revolution are now 59-84.
Frank Fritz had a big run-scoring double for the Revolution in the bottom of the third inning. With Boston leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a curveball from Ted Duke, who finished 3rd in the FR in wins with 18 in 2068, and swatted a double to center. It was his 15th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Revolution ahead, 2-0.
"We did a lot of really good things and it was a good win," said Revolution manager .
