Michigan Gets 4-1 Road Win
The Michigan Militia beat the Richmond Ravens, 4-1, at Battle Field. Starting pitcher Mathew Rhodes was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Rhodes, now 1-1, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 5, walking 0, and allowing 1 run. Richmond, now 3-11, continues its tough start.

Michigan used the timely hitting of Tom Brown to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Militia ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a big one.
