The Washington Monuments beat the Cape Canaveral Launch, 5-2, at The Grand Lodge. Nick Juárez, in particular, was impressive. He went 2 for 2 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs. The winner was George Skinner in relief. His record improves to 15-3. Gabriel García took the loss. The save was credited to Walter Hughes, his 3rd.

Sidney Sloan dealt the Launch a blow in the bottom of the seventh. Batting with the bases loaded and Washington leading 3-2, Sloan hit a 2-2 slider for a run-scoring single.
