The Michigan Militia bested the West Island Storm, 5-3, at Hot Box. Walt Browning was one of the standouts. He went 2-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Juan Solís recorded his 12th save for Michigan. The Militia saw their record improve to 73-71.
Browning contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Michigan in the top of the fourth. With his team trailing 2-0, Browning took a changeup from Ramón Alvarado and stroked the home run to right. His 7th home run of the season allowed the Militia to leap in front, 3-2.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Browning said.
