Spirited fans greeted the West Island Storm for their clash with the Michigan Militia.

The Michigan Militia topped the West Island Storm, 10-1, the lion's share of the credit going to second baseman Tommy Sheffield. On the day, Sheffield went 4-4 with a triple, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Militia. With the win, Michigan pushed its record to 74-72.

Sheffield had no bigger at-bat than in the top of the fifth when the 24-year old second baseman hit a double. The double gave Michigan the lead, 2-1. It was his 8th double of the season.

"Things went our way," said Sheffield.
