Border Jumpers Lose By a Run at Iowa
|
The Laredo Border Jumpers went down to defeat to Fernando Farías and his Iowa teammates. The final score was 3-2, in favor of the Crop Circles. Farías picked up the win for Iowa, going 6 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 15-7. Iowa now has a record of 75-73 with the win.
Reliever Steve Ramírez made an impact for Iowa, when he swatted a solo home run off Edmund Martin in the bottom of the fifth. For the contest, Ramírez went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk.
