Paredes Takes Chainsaw to Iowa Bats in 5-2 Win
The Philadelphia Cheesesteaks topped the Iowa Crop Circles, 5-2, in Frontier action at William Penn Park. The standout performance belonged to Philadelphia pitcher and North Fair Oaks, California, native José Paredes. The Cheesesteaks, at 91-59, lead by one game in their division.

Paredes was effective against the Crop Circles, seldom allowing a hard-hit ball. The left-hander limited Iowa to just 2 runs on 4 hits over 8 innings.

Paredes called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
