The Richmond Ravens defeated the Orlando Rum Runners, 5-4, in Appalachian action at Battle Field. Richmond pitcher Jesse Parker had a standout performance. Parker, the winner, moves to 10-8. He threw 6 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up 4 walks. With the victory, the Ravens upped their record to 82-68.

Juan Guzmán had a key at-bat with one out in the bottom of the seventh for Richmond. With the bases loaded and the Ravens leading 4-0, he hit a sacrifice fly.
