Browning Lifts Militia to 4-2 Win
The performance of Walt Browning proved critical in helping Michigan beat Keg Creek, 4-2. The Militia center fielder went 3-4 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The winner in relief was Isaac Carlson. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.2 innings. He now owns a record of 3-3. Michigan is second in the Appalachian Northern with a record of 76-74.

Browning had a timely hit for Michigan in the top of the ninth. With Keg Creek trailing 2-1, he turned a 1-2 cutter into a 3-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season, making it 4-2, Michigan.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Browning told the Michigan Herald.
