Getting offensive support from Rafael Colchado, the San Jose Cuervo topped the Alcatraz Island Jail Break, 6-3. Colchado went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times for the Cuervo. Armando Alou picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Chalis Kilonzo was tagged with the loss. Carlos Guzmán got the save, the 4th for him this season.
San Jose won the game in part because of Dale Pérez. The designated hitter ripped a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put the Cuervo ahead, 1-0. For the game, Pérez had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.
"The name on the front of this uniform is all that matters to me," Colchado told the San Jose Daily News. "And padding the San Jose win column."
The Jail Break drop to 8-9 and continue their mediocre start to the 2075 season.
