The Washington Monuments picked up a win at The Grand Lodge, knocking off the Ozark Outlaws, 6-3. Starting pitcher George Skinner was a big reason why. Skinner, now 17-7, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 11, walking 1, and allowing 3 runs. The win elevated the Monuments to 89-62.

In the bottom of the third, Washington center fielder Tetsuhiko Matsumoto had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Matsumoto stroked a 2-run single to right. It made the score 4-2, Washington. For the game, he was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Matsumoto said.
