Ravens Down Monuments, 5-0
|
Richmond Ravens starter Curt Brown hurled his team past the Washington Monuments, 5-0. With the loss, Washington drops to 9-7.
Lyndon García had a big 2-run double for the Ravens in the bottom of the first inning. With Richmond leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a knuckle curve from 34-year old right-handed pitcher Glenn León and swatted a double to center. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Ravens ahead, 3-0.
"I just tried to make good contact," said García.
