Maulers Drop Launch, 4-3
|
The Minneapolis Maulers beat the Cape Canaveral Launch, 4-3, in 13 innings. Minneapolis pitcher and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, native Tony Villamán led the way. The win makes Minneapolis 67-86.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 13th inning, when Minneapolis second baseman Mysterious Walker, facing Gabriel García, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Maulers the 4-3 win.
"This ballgame left me feeling kind of raw," said Cape Canaveral manager Mike Best.
