Militia Take Down Coyotes, 2-1
|
Keg Creek wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Andy Thomas, falling to the Michigan Militia, 2-1. Thomas threw 7.2 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. The save was credited to Lane Davis, his 25th. With the win, Michigan raised its record to 78-75.
Michigan used a clutch hit from Riley Nieves to get the win. The catcher drilled a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Militia ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Every loss stings," said Keg Creek manager Jay Kunstler. "This one is no exception."
