Coyotes Prevail, 3-1, Over Minneapolis
|
In a tight game between the Keg Creek Coyotes and the Minneapolis Maulers, pitcher Tad Hughes was terrific on the mound. The Keg Creek right-hander helped his team to the 3-1 win. Ángel García got the save, the 4th for him this season. The win puts Keg Creek at 10-4.
The Coyotes got a big at-bat from designated hitter Ken Wells. For the game, Wells was 2-3 with a double and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 6th double of the season gave Keg Creek a 2-0 lead.
"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Hughes.
