The Laredo Border Jumpers did just enough to sneak past the Iowa Crop Circles, 1-0, at BackWet Stadium. Laredo pitcher José Rojas, in particular, had a standout performance. Rojas, now 13-10, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 9, walking 3, and allowing no runs. Picking up the save was Andrew Dougherty. He's now 43 for 46 in save chances.

With one out in the bottom of the fourth, Sancho López put Laredo in front, 1-0, with a run-scoring single. The Border Jumpers went on to win the ballgame.

"We missed opportunities once again," said losing manager Andy Ward.
