The Philadelphia Cheesesteaks withstood an impressive performance by Reading right fielder Roberto Clemente to defeat the Railbirds, 6-5, at Schuylkill Landing Park. Clemente went 2-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Philadelphia leads the Frontier Northern by 3 games.

Philadelphia used the timely hitting of Ben Brown to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Cheesesteaks on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Philadelphia manager Joey Santangelo.
