Ravens Suffer 4-3 Loss to Vermont
|
Though he had a stellar game, Jeremy Doyle could not prevent his team, the Richmond Ravens, from losing, 4-3, to the Vermont Lake Monsters. Doyle was 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs. Steven Young got credit for the win, improving to 3-7. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. The win has Vermont at 63-93.
The Lake Monsters got a big at-bat from center fielder Howard Reynolds. For the game, Reynolds went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Vermont a 2-1 lead.
Vermont manager Kevin Tucker was pleased with the team's effort. "It was just a good, gutsy performance by everybody," he said.
