The Crab Apple Cove Mashers got a marvelous performance from pitcher Kevin Underwood. The right-hander kept the Glacier Bay offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 6-2 Crab Apple Cove victory at Vargas Field. Crab Apple Cove reliever Kevin Underwood got the win, raising his record to 15-9. Ron Collins was tagged with the loss. The victory gives the Mashers a record of 104-53.

Crab Apple Cove took a 5-2 lead on José Colón's 1st triple of the season. The bases-clearing triple, which Colón hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Glacier Bay pitcher Iván Ruíz visibly frustrated.

"We're playing like gangbusters right now," said Colón.
