Jail Break Tag Burn with 6-3 Loss
|
Death Valley shortstop Yi-lin Ding had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Ding went 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk, even as Alcatraz Island beat the Burn, 6-3. Picking up the save was Júlio Vázquez. He's now 9 for 13 in save chances. With the win, the Jail Break improved to 65-91.
Shortstop Richard Ames made an impact for Alcatraz Island, when he swatted a 2-run double off Alexander Magee in the bottom of the fifth. For the contest, Ames was 1-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Ames told a Alcatraz Island Times reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
