The Keg Creek Coyotes defeated the Vermont Lake Monsters, 7-2. Doing his part was designated hitter Tom Day, who went 2 for 5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Keg Creek pitcher Butch Gray got the win, upping his record to 8-8. Ernest Reese got the loss. The 4th-place Coyotes now have a win-loss record of 74-83.

Day had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 0-1 changeup from Ernest Reese, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the Coyotes a 2-1 lead. It was the 17th home run of the year for Day.

Day said his team "played with focus."
