Chicken Haulers Collect 4-1 Win Over Storm
|
The West Island Storm could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Manuel Aguilar into a win. Instead, the Amarillo Chicken Haulers prevailed, 4-1, in 11 innings. Aguilar threw 6.2 innings of shutout ball. The Chicken Haulers have now won 5 straight.
Héctor González came through with a big-time hit for Amarillo. The second baseman smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the 11th inning to give his team the lead, 4-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
