Mashers Absorb 6-1 Loss at Liquor Luge
|
The Glacier Bay Ice Pirates beat the Crab Apple Cove Mashers by a score of 6-1. Glacier Bay catcher Steve Clark deserved the lion's share of the credit. Clark went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Ice Pirates. Reliever Mike Allen picked up the win. His record improves to 6-2. Matt Butler took the loss. The Ice Pirates go to 61-96 with the win.
Glacier Bay grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Tony Quintana delivered a 2-run single, to make it 3-1 in favor of the Ice Pirates.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Quintana told the Glacier Bay Today.
