The Richmond Ravens picked up a win at Battle Field, knocking off the Michigan Militia, 3-2. On the mound for Richmond was right-hander Curt Brown. He played a key role in the triumph. Richmond's record now stands at 77-80, placing them 4th in the Appalachian Southern.

Armando Sierra had a critical at-bat with one out in the bottom of the eighth for Richmond. He came through with a 2-run single to put Richmond in front, 3-2.

Sierra called the win a test of his team's "mettle."
