Maldonado Delivers Walk-Off Win for Border Jumpers
The Laredo Border Jumpers faced a tough opponent in Mexico City pitcher Troy Smith, but did just enough to pull out the victory at BackWet Stadium by a final score of 5-4. Smith went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. Andrew Dougherty picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 6-9. Adergazuz Sekani suffered the loss. The victory puts Laredo at 59-101.

The Border Jumpers got a clutch hit from first baseman Gerardo Maldonado. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Border Jumpers.

"This game was intense," Maldonado said, postgame.
