Railbirds Solve Cheesesteaks, 4-2
|
Reading got a strong outing from Al Ratzlaff as the Railbirds defeated the Philadelphia Cheesesteaks, 4-2, at William Penn Park. Reading raised its record to 94-66 with the win.
Reading relied on the hitting of Robbie Ross to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put the Railbirds on top, 1-0. For the game, Ross had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
After the game, Reading manager Slam Dunks applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
