Crop Circles Sunk by Cheesesteaks

The Philadelphia Cheesesteaks reigned over the Iowa Crop Circles in damp conditions.
Riding the 3-hit performance of the former first round draft pick Brian Adkins, the Philadelphia Cheesesteaks stopped the Iowa Crop Circles, 7-1. Mike Wolf got credit for the save for Philadelphia. It was his 2nd of the year.
Philadelphia designated hitter Carl Anderson contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the second. With two down, he hit a sinker to left field for a run-scoring single. It was his 30th hit of the season and put the Cheesesteaks ahead, 1-0.
In postgame comments to the Philadelphia Herald, Adkins said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
The defeat makes Iowa 79-81.
