Behind a solid performance from catcher José Gil, the Keg Creek Coyotes defeated the Minneapolis Maulers, 5-3. Gil was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Coyotes. Ángel García closed it out for Keg Creek, earning his 5th save. Early on, the Coyotes, at 11-4, have excelled.

Gil had a timely hit for Keg Creek in the bottom of the sixth. With Keg Creek trailing 3-1, he turned a first pitch fastball into a 3-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season, making it 4-3, Keg Creek.
