						The West Island  Storm knocked off the Washington Monuments, 3-2, in Appalachian action at The Grand Lodge. West Island  pitcher and Rancho Cucamonga, California, native Chris Hall had an outstanding performance. António Olivo earned the save, his 3rd in 3 tries. West Island , at 72-89, holds down last place in the Appalachian Coastal.
  Jesús Alfaro  had a direct impact on the outcome. Alfaro contributed a run-scoring  single in the top of the third inning to put West Island  up, 1-0.
