With first baseman Don Black leading the charge, the Iowa Crop Circles defeated the Reading Railbirds, 8-3, at The Cornfield. Black was 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. The 4th-place Crop Circles hiked their record to 78-84.

Jorge Cruz helped his team take an early lead with a 2-run single. It came in the first inning, making the score 2-0, Crop Circles.

"It was a solid, all-around game for us," said Iowa manager Andy Ward.
