Down to Defeat Goes Ozark, 7-1
|
Keg Creek got a strong outing from John Johns as the Coyotes defeated the Ozark Outlaws, 7-1, at Coyote Den Stadium. The winner was Johns. He threw 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was Matt Thompson. The Coyotes, now 12-4, have played inspired baseball.
Tex Scott, who is a three-time All-Star, had a timely hit in the bottom of the fifth inning. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, the Keg Creek center fielder hit a run-scoring single. That put the Coyotes in front, 2-1.
"John just went about his business, throwing strikes," said Keg Creek manager James DaBears.
