Hall Helps Keg Creek Cruise to 10-2 Win
|
The Keg Creek Coyotes relied on the hitting of shortstop Reginald Hall to stop the Washington Monuments, 10-2. For the game, Hall went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 5. Andy Thomas, who went 7 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 6 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 6. His record now stands at 2-0. The loss puts Washington at 11-6.
The Coyotes got a big at-bat from designated hitter Mario Chávez. For the game, Chávez was 1 for 3 with a triple. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 2nd triple of the season gave Keg Creek a 3-2 lead.
"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said Keg Creek manager Jay Kunstler.
