The Mexico City Diablos overcame a fine performance by Redstone designated hitter Dave Velasco to defeat the Ridge Raptors, 5-4, at The Raptor's Nest. Velasco was 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Mexico City goes to 8-10.

Mexico City used the timely hitting of Jason Lawson to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Diablos on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Nice to tuck this win away," said Lawson.
